Singer of the German metal band Rammstein and star of a memorable GGPoker ad

Till Lindemann, lead singer of Rammstein, stars in a blockbuster advertisement for GGPoker in which he assumes five different personas around a poker table. The commercial is, without a question, among the greatest to hit the market in recent memory.

El vocalista de Rammstein y un comercial épico para GGPoker

Those were the times when online poker rooms used to create interesting, funny and well produced commercials. Nowadays the spots are more conservative and a bit dull, however the one just launched by GGPoker is simply spectacular.

The production stars Till Lindemann, the lead singer of the industrial metal band Rammstein, one of the most famous bands in Germany, and if that is already epic for all the amount of followers that this character has, he is joined by another of our acquaintances, the most pro recreationalist in history, the grinder Fedor Holz.

In the commercial, Lindermann not only gives life to a character, but to 5 poker players with personalities that more than a few of you will be familiar with.

The spot was directed by Eric Remberg, better known as Specter Berlin, a renowned German filmmaker who has previously worked with the vocalist on Rammstein videos such as Adieu and Deutschland.

For film buffs, the director’s references to classic movie scenes such as the rose petals in American Beauty (Sam Mendes, 1999) and Fight Club (David Fincher, 1999) are sure to catch your attention.

In the video there are scenes of blood, a sword fight and a speech: “Luck waits for no one”. The video ends with the message “gut gespielt”, which would be the classic “GG” (Good Game).

The commercial can be seen below in its original language, German, but you can activate the subtitles to understand it better. Anyway, the images speak for themselves.

And if we are talking about epic commercials, we can’t forget to remind you the one that, for many, is the best commercial ever created in the history of poker.
